Brand Focus: Kate Moss X Topshop S/S14

After a two week break from blogging, it only felt natural to return at the release of Kate Moss' S/S14 Topshop collection. For months Topshop have teased and with a purposefully poorly lit Vogue editorial, featuring the lady herself, it was clear that details of the collection were under lock and key. However, today we were finally put in the know with the collection is not set to disappoint.

Staying true to Kate's personal style and her previous Topshop collections, pieces have a boho, vintage style with key items including a floaty blouse and tunic dresses. Kate's signature printed day dresses are back and with subtle yet unique prints for the perfect summer outfit. In keeping with S/S key trends, wide leg trousers are featured as well as matchy matchy prints and fringed details. The finishing touches are also included with a selection of three silk scarves, each with a stunning vintage style print.

Whilst the collection overall is stunning, I do find the abundance of gold party style dresses and statement jackets slightly odd for a S/S collection. There seems to be a great emphasis on the night looks within the collection and as a result Kate's tea dresses have decreased in numbers and statement blouses are scarce. Whilst these pieces are stunning within their own right, I feel they may have been more at home within an A/W collection or at a decreased number for the S/S collection. Nevertheless, this collection is set to follow the trend of its predecessors and sell out instantly!

The collection's prices are yet to be revealed, however ways to shop the collection have increased. Whilst you can still purchase the collection on Topshop's website and in selected stores, you now can also purchase through net-a-porter and for American shoppers, Nordstorm online and in selected stores.

The collection is set to launch on the 30th April.

Check out the full collection below and let me know what items are on your wishlist!
